International Day of Persons with Disabilities

Friday 3rd December 2021

The International Day of People with Disabilities (IDPWD) is in recognition of the rights of people with disabilities in all areas of society. Today, we show our support and advocate for the many people with disabilities involved in physical activity to destigmatise disability in sport.

There are many disability sports clubs and groups across the borough, visit the Get Active search engine to find your local opportunities. Equally, visit our disability sport page for all the local disability activity opportunities and some tips for how people with disabilities can integrate physical activity into their daily routine.

International Volunteers Day

Sunday 5th December 2021

International Volunteers Day recognises volunteers who work to provide support to so many projects and organisations. It is this passion and commitment that allows thousands of people every year to take part in physical activity. Here at Hinckley and Bosworth, we have so many amazing volunteers, from our Health and Wellbeing Ambassadors, to our sports coaches and club founders. Today, we thank YOU!
