Active Parks

Active parks are our open spaces around the borough that host outdoor gym equipment for everyone to enjoy fun ways to get active for free. This page will provide you with all the right information about how and where to use our active parks.

Please familiarise yourself with this guidance before using any of the outdoor equipment:
Staying safe whilst using Active Parks:
Here are some ways you can use our Active Parks safely and comfortably:
- When you arrive, read the signs already there which outlines all safety information. You should also use the information cards on each machine for how to safely use the equipment, as well as our guide here
- Wipe down equipment before and after use
- Only one user at any time per item of gym equipment, and remember to give others space
- Do not touch your face whilst using the outdoor gyms
- Think of others, limit your time on individual equipment if others are waiting
- Do not eat whilst using the outdoor gyms, and avoid unwashed hands coming into contact with where you drink from on your water bottle
- Do not share water bottles
- Wash your hands after your session for 20 seconds with warm water and soap or use hand sanitiser, and clean anything such as water bottles or mobile phones that you handled during your workout
- Please dispose of any rubbish properly in a bin
