Our Active Together Local Champions (both families and individuals) are the faces of our new movement, telling their stories about how they have stayed active throughout the first lockdown (and beyond as restrictions ease), including what has motivated them, and how they have overcome any barriers that might have stopped them from being active.
The Active Friends Scheme aims to provide our residents the opportunity to walk with one of our Active Friends Volunteers, to encourage and motivate you to go outside into a safe environment. If you are interested in having a Fitness Friend Volunteer, please contact Helen Smith, Physical Activity Development Officer on 01455 255908 or 07971 240889
Leicestershire Rutland and Sport, Make Your Move flyers provide handy activity ideas, top tips and guidance on how active we should all be, based on our age and if you have a disability. There are many ways busy mums and dads, families, young people, office workers and older adults can build physical activity into their lives. Being physically active is easier than you think, especially if you make activity part of your daily routine
Active Hinckley and Bosworth (formerly Hinckley and Bosworth Local Sport and Health Alliance (HBSHA)) is a collection of people who have a desire to develop and promote sport and physical activity opportunities in Hinckley and Bosworth. We have representatives from the local authority, schools, sport clubs, sports centres, volunteer networks and wider community groups such as disability groups.
